yeah, I friend and I can do the HG, he installed my Turbo in 6 hrs so I am sure he can handle the Meth kit............

Hey SpecOps, do you think with a 2mm HG & Meth I can up the Boost on this size Turbo?
No reason, the turbo is simply to small to warrant a HG. With the aquamist system you'll be able to safely max out the turbo with stock compression. Remember this turbo (with our motor) craps out past 12psi. You'll end up loosing hp with the HG unless you upgrade to a larger turbo which again at that point you would probably SAVE money by selling the kit and getting an IP kit that can support 500rwhp outta the box.

you dont need to lower the compression to up the boost.

you could increase it on stock compression if you run meth. depending on your mix.

i'll be running 66/33 and retuning here very soon. how about wait till I do my meth kit and then see if you think it's worth it to spend the money.

So you are going to go with the aquamist kit?

When are you getting your retune? I want to go down and check it out@

Your going to be looking at another 1000 dollars or so for a HG and install and you'll also have to retune the car again. As I've said before, once you start spending all this extra money, you could have been at 500rwhp by now.

You're just throwing away money by modifying that kit. Sell it to somebody that needs a CARB legal setup and get something else that will do what you want it to easily.

Joey I know you want some serious power so I'd pass the meth; it won't help you get to where you want to go.

I'd either go along the lines of Revenge and do the GT3076 upgrade with 3mm HG and up the boost OR you could sell the Greddy and just go inline pro; up to you..

One thing to remember is that with either of the options above, you will most likely lose the quick spool of the greddy kit, which was a buying point for me. I rarely go above 6k in daily driving and I recently attended my first autox. In both scenarios, the greddy really shines as it is fully spooled in an AP2 by 3500 and has full torque from 4-6k.. however, for highway races, the relatively restrictive greddy setup doesn't allow for much more than 300whp, and it seems this bothers the majority of greddy owners. The greddy is more of a daily driver 'enhancer' than a highway monster.

By reading your posts, I think you'd be ok losing this quick spool as your priority is top end power. I just wanted to bring it to your attention!

I bought mine off ebay for less than $300. Got for $360 shipped, and since I bought it through the live search with cashback I got 20% back. You can save yourself about $100......I think its at 25% cashback right now.

I would say do it, you could always transfer it over when you go with the inline or something else. Also why can't you just buy an inline manifold for $500 and a larger turbo and a DP from inline? You'll need to knotch the frame and just use the rest of the greddy kit. By going with the inline mani you can get a bigger turbo and more turbo options. You may need to refab a couple of things but it's a start.

I thought of this already..
I started putting the pieces together that I found on one site on the web that sold inline stuff separate. After adding the price for a manifold, down pipe, turbo and even priced their charge pipe etc price I was blown away at how they sell their kit for 3900 or 4000 when if you buy everything separate its more than 1K less than the kit price is.

turbo 829
manifold 500
downpipe 270
charge piping 405
wastegate 219
intercooler 369
oil feed/return lines 99

total: 2691

only think not included is couplers, clamps and a blow off valve.
