100K miles on Comptech SC - Is this a first?
Appreciate you taking the time out to let us know how its going.. I was talking to a few buddies on the board about going SC, but didn't know if i should go C or V.... looks like C to me wo0t!!1!
Hats off to you for getting so many miles, then sticking with the car instead of dumping it when it needed a new heart.
I like your total revolutions calculation. Amazing.
I have a set of updated oil jet bolts that I bought after getting the SC but never installed and by what I just read here, I don't think I ever will.
I calculated that at 4,000 miles/year that I put on my S, and with about 24 on the clock now, it will take me until 2045 until I need a new engine. "So, I got that going for me, which is nice."

At my current rate my car sould last me another 130 months, or almost 12 years. I'll be 70 years old in 12 years, so the car will probably last longer than I do.
The engine swap occurred in early August, so I was on the original at WTD and the new one at DBR, though at DBR I pretty much sat in the room and worked on (ugh!) taxes the whole time.
I ran the stock Comptech pulley the entire time. I know I could get some more power with a smaller pulley but it performed well enough for me and I knew I'd be putting a ton of miles on it so I opted to keep it "stock" and not push the envelope. I'm very pleased with the results.
I did have nitrous on at one point, before the SC. I put a 50-shot ZEX kit on it right after the factory warranty ran out - in total stealth mode of course. I used a 2.5 lb bottle which fit inside the spare tire, had a remote solenoid for it, heater jacket, ran the line under the car (relatively hidden) and brought it up inside the factory air box from the bottom. I used the Cruise SET button to activate the nitrous and of course the standard WOT sensor. And I used the tach to display how much time was left on the bottle after each run, not in actual seconds but an approximate percentage. You could not tell by looking in the engine bay or cockpit that the car had nitrous. Cool.
While I liked the effect it was just a pain in the arse to keep the bottle full; even when I used my 10-lb bottle to refill the 2.5 at home it was a constant hassle. For a weekend car it probably wouldn't be as bad but I sometimes put 1000 miles a week on the car and 2 1/2 punds of nitrous just ain't enough. I don't think the full 10 lb bottle would be enough.

Your stealth setup sounds awsome. An extra 50 horses from a hidden source is cool no matter how you're getting it.
