Sounds like a big pressure drop accross the front mount. swap back to the Comptech intake tube and see if you've got your boost back.

Shouldn't be any pressure drop from the front mount... and it's an aftercooler correct?

What are you using to tune?....EMS?

A front mount intercooler has extra volume that needs to be compressed. More volume, less end pressure. This usually drops about a lb. or 2, so putting the original intercooler may get you back that drop. The rest may be due to poorly sealed connections between the supercharger and the throttle body. There's a lot of joints and connections and welds along the way.

"Intercooler" and "Aftercooler", although they have their specific definitions, have been used interchangably for a long time. Using either conveys the same connotation. The main difference is if it's "air/air" (front mount in this case) or "air/water" (stock Comptech or Vortech) type.

I really don't know. Honestly, I had a 9lb pulley on mine with a front mount, and only got 6lbs of boost. I had the loss of boost narrowed down to the intercooler but still couldn't find any leaks. I thought 3lbs of lost boost was a little too much, (I had always heard to expect 1lb or 2lbs tops). I bought/installed the comptech aftercooler and now my max boost gets up to 8.6lbs. I've never even looked back. I honestly think it's the front mount. It was for me. If you find it to be anything else, please let us know. I'd be interested to see.

Good luck,
Dave

Eri_S2k is using a custom front mount intercooler setup instead of the Comptech aftercooler...which would probably explain the loss in boost, due to pressure drop...

Si quieres verificar para estar seguro, dile a Jo que te conecte el reloj de boost ANTES del intercooler. De esta manera sabras exactamente cuanto boost estas perdiendo por cuasa del intercooler.
