How can it claim that? That must apply to the small displacement V8's.
When dealing with forced induction, it applies to all engines, even your lawn mower!
That is assuming you could get all the air into the engine and also keep it from exploding. That would get the yard done quick. The reason why I said "theoretical". Even the 5.0 guys don't hit 500hp with the NOVI 1000. The stock 5.0 kit only make about the same power as it does on our cars.

Most of the guys here will say about the same only that it's difficult not living in Japan and getting the parts they need. JDM 's

Actually, my co-worker just sc'd his '02 GT. They made over 400 to the wheels, but detuned it for fear that the stock internals couldn't handle it.

If it's the stock Paxton setup, then it would make "over 360 horsepower". This would be rated at the crank. So it's still in line with our cars. What you wrote just shows that it is possible to make 400whp with the paxton setup on our cars too.
I was under the impression that the 4.6L was stronger than the old 5.0's stock for stock. The 5.0's could handle about 400hp stock only with stronger rod bolts and maybe stronger main bolts for longevity. I've built up a lot of Ford's but haven't done the 4.6's yet so... .
