Default 12.5lbs boost with vortech for track use?

If I upgrade the vortech pulley to 4" 12.5lbs boost at 9000rpm is it wise for a track driving car? I could be wrong but I get the impression most of the guys here with big boost superchargers sort of drag race and stuff so maybe the car is only in the big boost for maybe a few minutes at a time.

Driving around a track the car will be in VTEC and on big boost for maybe 20minutes every hour 8 times in a day. The engine is built with TODA low compression stroker kit and has the vortech with aftercooler.

make sure you have low compression pistons, headgasket, better radiator, thermostat and fan switch you'll be fine

Currently I'm at 9lbs and will be going up alittle to (10.5 lbs) and I think that will be perfect for the track
