Was the air/fuel ratio logged on that dyno pull? Hard to tell anything w/o that. If you don't already have a wideband A/F into EMS, I would get one.

Best troubleshooting tool is a datalog from the EMS. Turn on datalogging before the dyno pull is made. After the pull, you can go back and look at all the important stuff logged in EMS memory during the pull. Show A/F, rpm, MAP, timing advance, knock signals, injector duty cycle, and IAT all on one graph. Post that graph here and lots of guys could help spot any possible tuning issues.

IMO you haven't posted nearly enough info to make even a wild guess as to why your power output was lower than you expected.

A log manifold + small turbine housing will definitely reduce your efficiency (and the horsepower for any given boost level).

I was thinking the same thing and I'm willing to bet that if his hot side were a .82 A/R, he would be closer to 500 whp. The .63's just seem to poop out at the top end on this engine unless you're throwing a lot more boost out of them.

Check your AEM ECU timing sync/setting and like the others have mentioned, add timing with C16. If you don't you will lose power because C16 is less ignitable than usual fuel.

BTW how much are you guys paying for C16 on your side of the wood?

^ alot. I payed 172 for 2x5 gallon sealed pales from a dealer.

The shop I tuned at has Q16 for 15ish a gallon. I will be getting that from now on.

I just bought a drum of Q16, it was a pretty good deal, 15+ bucks is expensive.

^ who in Atlanta is tuning for you?? I have had a tune from turbo dave at mainstream, a tune from scott siegel at batlground who is now at Topspeed and my last 2 tunes from Doug at topspeed.

Batlground topspeed balanced performane and mainstream are the only decent shops in the ATL area.

post up the ignition and fuel map, that will tell me a lot right off the bat.

before blaming the tune right off the bat, a few things should be looked at. one thing thats interesting, the car really falls on its face. even w/ an inefficient log manifold, it should be making power past 9000. u sure you dont have any exhaust leaks? specifically before the turbo. ive seen couplers off the turbo melt w that manifold and cause a boost leak. I would check over both the tune and the mechanical side of things.

but yeah, for dynojet numbers, def low for given boost/race gas.
