Default 2005 S2K SOS Turbo build

Sup y’all,

Now that ive finally acquired all of the parts for the turbo build, I figured I would start a thread so I can document the build as I go. I probably wont start installing the kit for a few weeks since I want to get some more time on the new SOS Hybrid 400 clutch.

This is the build list for the turbo kit:

SOS TS-Max kit with GTX3576R turbo
High pressure (12-20psi) wastegate spring
Cerakote black manifold
Cerakote black downpipe.
Link G4X S200X ECU
ID1700X injectors
Walbro 450 fuel pump
SOS fuel pump mount kit
Seamless Auto single fuel pump wiring kit
SOS fuel pressure sensor install kit
SOS wastegate MAC3 solenoid kit
SOS 3bar MAP sensor
AEM X-series inline wideband
AEM SS 150psi fuel pressure sensor
AEM FPR
SOS E85 flex fuel system with Continental sensor
Link oil sensor
Link air temp sensor

SOS Hybrid 400 clutch
ACT Streetlite flywheel
AP1 slave cylinder
Nachi bearings

Stock Diff
Stock Trans
Fujitsubo Legalis R cat back exhaust (still need to find a 3 inch exhaust)
EVS high flow cat.

I think thats about it for now.

Well, your build should be a fun one to watch. That’s a nice big turbo!!!
if you decide that about $500 is good for a diff that won’t break I can give you a source.

For sure, shoot me a message. I’m sure inevitably I’ll need one

Very exciting. I would use the SOS terminals, but I would run 10 gauge to the relay and get a big spade relay rated for higher current.

I ended up ordering the Seamless single fuel pump wiring kit just to be safe. I kept reading horror stories of the SOS kit with the larger pumps.

Definitely a good choice going with the Seamless wiring kit. I had years of problems with the SOS kit and Walbro 450 pump.

Seamless is nice and Id put that right in the total overkill department but Im happy you moved on from the small wire stuff. A great way to avoid resistance at the hanger is the CJ motorsports all metal hanger.

I worked a bit backwards. Since I was waiting on a few tools, I knocked out the intercooler install and cold side intercooler piping.

I had to modify the intercooler brackets a bit with my grinder to make sure they cleared the frame. I wanted to be sure the intercooler didn’t hit the bumper so I mounted the brackets all the way back.

Modified bracket

Modified bracket, based on where my frame would hit.

Plenty of room between the AC dryer and intercooler.

I finished cutting the plastics and reinstalling them to make sure it all fit well.
