What injectors are you running? My car made an easy 389whp by 6500rpm and the pump started to loose constant flow. I'm putting an order in for the fb dual hanger with 2 fb340 pumps will my 1000cc injectors keep up?

9.5:1 comp built engine
3.2" SOS pulley (made 20.5 psi on e85)
1200blower.

Fpr is set at 40psi which I think is too low anyway.

Let me know what u guys think.
Some thoughts:
  1. You are running lower compression & higher boost than most of us do on stock compression & pump gas. So you need more fuel, and yeah I'd start to wonder if ID1000's might become a limiting factor. (At normal fuel pressure levels. When people say you need bigger injectors, that means they are assuming you are keeping stock fuel pressure levels.)
  2. 40psi sounds lower than stock, so that's the first thing I'd fix before swapping injectors. (Isn't 47psi the stock fuel pressure?)
  3. You can increase the fuel pressure and get more fuel into the motor regardless of the injectors you're using. Essentially, you can either increase the size of the hole the fuel flows through (injector size) or increase the pressure forcing the fuel through the hole (fuel pressure). Either (or both) will get more fuel into the engine. Many of us choose to just swap injectors, but with a low compression / high boost build you might be in a position where running higher fuel pressure makes sense.
  4. There are good calculators you can use to determine what size injectors you need for a given HP level, fuel type, and fuel pressure. Take a look at the RC Engineering website, and the Injector Dynamics website. You can play around to see what's needed to achieve your HP target.

Injector Dynamics

Good Ideas. For reference on my car teh last two days, I found that the COMPTECH fuel pump, stock lines, hard wired fuel pump wiring, RC650s, stock regulator netted 52 psi. I upped the pressure to 65psi with a B&M regulator, but the screw was practically all the way down.

Im still interested to see what yopu put down with the 2.8!

Small update!!

I took my car down to the local track and did ~30 1/8 mile flashlight drags. It was a cool day out ~60-65 degrees out. The Richard Racing 2.8" pulley performed great! I netted 22-23psi VS 18-19 with my 3.0" SOS pulley. Im custom 3.5" CAI performed great!! After maybe 20 runs I checked the flashpro datalogs and IAT's were only 86 degrees! The car felt great and powerful I had to launch @ 2k only use ~50% throttle in 1st and 2nd just to keep the car in a straight line and I didn't catch traction until mid 3rd. Overall I feel the upgrades were well worth the money!!

I have yet to use the BLV...

correction to throttle % I just checked the datalogs
