yes I meant 5 and 6. I got confused with the concept of the honda 4cyl car now having a 6

So when are you going to be able to take delievery?

We need to see some actual decent vids of this setup. It makes me very skeptical of the traction and handling issues when there is not one decent video out there to this day...Hopefully everything turns out well though, I'd be interested in this swap if the drive ability isn't too out of control, or most important to me, doesn't mess with the handling TOO MUCH. Detailed Vids ASAP please.

the car will not be meant to track.. simply drag, look at supra vids now the cars break traction in third gear and now your taking a car with easily 800 lbs less and dropping the same power. all thats going to matter is that this thing will be like a dart!! and in 4th gear he will do this

the s2000 isnt that much lighter than the supra.. and with the extra weight of the getrag and 2jz it weighs actually just about the same as a hardtop supra maybe 100 lbs less.

have you had the car corner balanced? i'd worry about weight distribution.. and t88 is huge.. damn.

No need to be skeptical. I can tell you right now.

Traction IS an Issue. In every gear except high 5 and 6 which most of the time you will never see.

The original car had 18x10in wide tires it the back and completely annihilated them in anything below 4 gear and was touch in go in 4th.

A stock HT Supra 3475lbs
A stock 02 S2000 2810lbs

That's a difference of 665lbs. From the calculations I've done from the weight of the F20C and Trans versus the 2jz and Trans. The vehicle should still be "JUST" south of 3000lbs. I will have exact weight #'s once everything is completed.

Sooo no offense, but what your saying kinda sounds like alot of useless power to me. Or in other words a dyno queen. Would be kind of disappointing to me. I still cant wait to see some decent vids of it though.

No... That just means we will have something other than street tires at the track.

Dude, are you sure about that...

Stock Supra documented curb weight is 3400, so that means actual weight is much higher.

Thats already 500lbs more than a scaled S2k.

Edit, i see someone already posted this info. My bad.

So are you turning your s2k into a strict track car? or mainly track car? If you can keep the power under control on the street, imo that would be the most fun...the faces of owned domestics and what not would be priceless....

and what are you anticipating the handling will be like? How affected will it be?
