technically the cheapest way to get 300whp is do what i did. get a 75 shot. that goes right to the wheel so im right at 300whp. but i also have a complete turbo kit that i have sitting in my room that im going to be putting on soon bc you never have enough hp

I like the idea of going turbo so I can upgrade in the future.

The other thing though, I like the idea of a complete kit to take care of it. I would probably be looking to save some bucks and get something used. If I see a "complete kit" for sale, it would be nice knowing that I could buy it, install it, and run without having to piece more parts together. When I see turbos for sale, I don't have enough knowledge yet to look at the parts list and know what it's missing to make it work...

So I guess right now it's look for a complete SC kit or a complete Inline kit plus engine management...

There are more kits than just the Inline one.

It is tough to piece together, and unless you buy something new, you are going to have to buy little things here and there that you didn't know you'd even need. I don't think that I've ever seen a truly COMPLETE used kit before, there are little things like extra gaskets, tubing, fabricated mounts for new things, a "serial to USB" cord that I had to buy for 30 bucks last night so I could connect my laptop to my EMS... there is always going to be little things you'll need.

I'd say once you find a kit and think you'll have everything you need, prepare to set aside another 500-1000 for misc. items

If you're going to go turbo, make sure you have at least 6K ready for it. You can definitely save a ton of money buying used, but it's also MUCH more of a hassle. To me, saving the 3-4 thousand dollars was worth the extra down time and stress. Mine is going to end up right around 7K after I tune tomorrow, and I know I'll want to add/upgrade stuff in the future too. I've saved a lot of money over what some of the other guys have spent with similar setups to mine, but still, even at 7K it gets expensive really quickly
