Default Anyone using the Brian Crower 2.47 stroker it with boost?

Been researching between the Inline Pro and also the Brian Crower 2.47L stroker kit for my S2000. I get a discount on BC products as it is a brand I am now carrying. I am wondering if anyone has been running their stroker kit for some time with boost?

I am thinking of going a stroker route with my S and sticking with a sc. Either upgrading the stock blower on my vortech to a t or ti trim or selling the kit and getting a Novi 1200 sos kit.

I called vortech to see if they could upgrade my blower but they didn't know which model I had. I thought it was the sc model. According to the serial number on my blower it says it is a V3 self lubed blower when I called vortech haha. Definitely not as it also says V-2 on the plate on the blower but guess they got something mixed up over there.

Anyways hopefully some people have experience with their stroker kits or main differences in quality/reliability of parts between the BC and the Inline Pro stroker kits.

I run the Inline Pro kit and I like it. Only problem we ran into is you have to Notch the block for clearance depending on the type of rods you run, I was running Inline pro H beam rods. Also if you look in my signature, to keep the oil squirters you have to notch the pistons as well. You can always take them out is another option but that depends on how often you are driving the car and whats its being used for etc. Honda put them there for a reason, so in my mind I wanted to keep them seeing as I daily the car as well and would like to keep all the lubrication Honda deemed necessary. Im running a Fullrace turbo set up though not a SC. The reason I went with Inline is bc Jeremy Allen built my motor so I just stuck with them, even though I literally live down the street from BC. I didnt do much research with BC but everything I received from Inline was great and have had no problems with the stroker kit at all. Inline pro has great customer service and have been dealing with them for 3 years now. Anytime I have had questions or concerns they have always been there to help me. Nothing against BC at all, but customer service goes a long way in my book. I had a buddy run the BC kit, but he ran into several problems. I dont believe it was necessarily from the kit itself but turbo issues and the people who built his motor.
Hope this helps you. My advice though is to upgrade your axles and diff as well. For I have been lucky so far with mine but a 8.8 diff and 1000hp axles are coming in the next couple months, my friend blew his axle while on the dyno around 450wtq.

Make sure you upgrade to the CA+625 rod bolts or if you go inline pro the heavy duty rods with 7/16 bolts.

I wouldnt recommend the 2.4 with the blower. By the time you pulley the blower up to get your boost back you'll end up with all sorts of belt issues. You will also need at least one 50mm bov to keep from stalling the blower and chucking the belt every time you let off the gas.

Thanks for the info!

Why would I run into belt issues? The vortech uses a larger crank pulley so on a 4" pulley at 9k I'm making 12.5 psi. So going down to a 3" shouldn't be much belt slip issues with a good pulley and belt and even at 7500 rpms should be making a lot of boost!

If you go from a 2liter to 2.4 you'll loose quite a bit of boost. On the SOS/comptech kits its always a pain once you get down below a 2.8" pulley. I have no experience with the vortec kits

Oh yeah I know that. But on those kits you need to run around a 3" pulley to get the 12 psi the vortech gets on a 4" pulley. They use a 1 inch larger crank pulley than comptech and SOS I believe. Helps greatly with belt slip when running high boost.
