ya, i would maybe at very least mess with the dumptube maybe angle it a bit different or maybe just wrap it with something to see if it makes it a bit quieter.
Im hoping there isnt a crack on my manifold...somtimes rattles are from small manifold cracks that continue to get worse over time. The manifold doesnt appear to have any cracks and all bolts holding evrerything on are as tight as i can get them without stripping something.
One more time Ill describe it.....
alays makes the buzz/rattle around 3500. Will do it in neutral revving in the 3500rpm area. If I hold rpms at 3500 its just a constant buzz that permiates though the whole car and can be heard outside the car as well. Almost feels like its coming from the transmission area. Its not clutch buzz i know what that sounds like. if this was clutch buzz it would be HORRIBLE clutch buzz and would make me worried that my clutch is easting itself alive but it shifts perfect and has no issues.
HELP!

Andy, go all over the manifold very closely to make sure there isnt a small crack in the weld or something. That could definitely cause a vibration at that rpm. 3300-3500 rpm is where this engine has its most vibrations if one is going to pop up.
ok guys tonight im gonna take off the downpipe and check for cracks. Im also going to go over the manifold on the car as best I can to check for any cracks. I have a bad feeling about it because the downpipe has a decent amount of room and i dont know what else it could be. Its starting to get worse so if its a crack its growing. I still dont hear any manifold leaks and the turbo spools just as quick so i dont know what this is but its driving me crazy.

check to see if the exhaust bolts are all tightened on all parts of the system. Also, i found that when part of my testpipe cracked, it started making vibrational noises at different RPM's. Check underneath the car and see whats up.
