Default 3mm Copper Head Gasket

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning on turboing my S2000 next year. Would it be worth it to try a 3mm copper head gasket to lower compression? I know the conventional head gaskets aren't reliable, but I assume a metal gasket would be better? Or would lowering compression with this method start messing with quench and not be worth it? I'm looking for about 500 horsepower on pump gas.

Thanks!

Why would you do that? You'd have to run more psi and you'd have to be worrying on whether or not your hea gasket Is holding up or not. There's a few s2000's making 500 on pump gas with out head gasket replacement on stock compression. Just my 2 cents your car though.

I use the SCE 2.4mm head gasket.

I've had plenty of head gasket problems previously but they were all tuning related and not a problem with the gasket.
