4.57+10psi too much for daily driving?
i have a MY01 with the current mods:
Comtpech Supercharger w/ aftercooler
Comptech header
Science of Speed big bore throttle
HKS SSQV BOV
HKS Ti Carbon fiber exhaust w/ 3in custom piping
Titanium valves and retainers
ACT HD pressure plate
Comptech lightweight flywheel
im planning on also installing:
4.57 final
RC 750cc injectors
AEM EMS w/ wideband
Cusco 1.5 LSD
i also want to go higher boost but im not too sure how much to go to. id say 10psi but not sure if that would be good for daily driving. what do you think? or how about 8psi?

The thing about running more boost is that you don't HAVE to use it. It really won't change your daily driving habits unless you're hitting redline every time you get in the car. You will only see 10psi @ 9k rpm.
Personally, I'll probably get an EMS with a 3.75" pulley (8psi) for next spring or so. I'm not sure if lots of people are running 10psi on stock compression.
GL!

I'm sure its completely different with SC, but I'm at 12 psi with a 3mm headgasket on my turbo setup and I already wish that i had longer gears than the stock gears... I'm actually planning on getting something like 3.69 FD when I upgrade my diff.
Thats just me though

I'm running 10psi on 4.57's and it's not overkill. Like CourageOO7 stated, you don't have to max out boost everytime you drive. Running more boost gives you more power throughout the whole powerband so it sort of benefits you to run a little more boost.

Your not going to like the Cusco 1.5 way on the street.......its loud, noisy, and low speed turns are a clunky as hell.....the whole rear end in parking lots will bang and pop...as the car turns.....if you get it i would highly recommend taking it apart and flip the plates around to take about 50% of lockup out of it....the way it will come assembled to you is 100% lockup in the straight line......so it doesn't like to slip the inside wheel at all under any acceleration...it trys to push the car in turns which is dangerous......the diff is always trying to straighten the car out....which is a sign of too much lockup......so the way to correct that problem is disassemble it from the start and add more slip and that will help a ton......also you have to change the diff oil after about the 1st 800-1k miles and then periodically after that ......i love the 4.57's.....they will eat more fuel though.....i am at 4k rpms at highway cruise ....and depending on the tune of the AEM part-throttle.....that may help out alittle.....hope you got a good tuner because part-throttle takes way more time to tune than full throttle does....and most tuners won't waste too much time on the street tuneing it for ya....Later, BILL

What's wrong with that pressure plate? I was planning on getting that along with the Comptech flywheel.
