Default 4" exhaust?

Is anyone on here running a 4" exhaust? I have a 3" exhaust for my new setup, but I am interested in a 4". I tried searching, but did not come with any info.

I think that size would be out of the realm of efficiency for 99.9% of s2000's. Your likely looking at a 700hp+ set up to make that size a consideration. Your 75mm is pretty substantial. What is your power output currently, out of curiosity?

I'm currently at 563hp but I will be going for 650 plus within the next few months. My new down pipe is a 4", so I thought it may be worth it.

Well your up there, yeah its likely worth looking at. Sorry I don't have any experience running at this level. Your definitely in the minority. My initial thought though is that you may be giving up some drivability with running a size that large, likely will not run as strong in the low/midrange, creating an even peakier powerband. Great for a dyno queen but maybe not so great for a streetcar. Im an SC guy but I imagine looking at your turbo will tell you allot about what size you should run to be optimum.

A lot of guys on turboed cars run 4" exhaust and even 5" exhaust. I just have no heard of anyone doing it on the s2000. I'm ok with street drivability if it's worth it. I put $3300 miles on the car last year. This year I've but 800 miles on.

Im not too sure if going to a full 4 inch exhaust will really benefit anything as to what it may cost. The exhaust gases cool the further down the pipe and dont really need the extra piping size to flow well. Id just stick with the 3 inch and use your money on other things for now.

I've been thinking of doing a 4"exhaust and having it split to dual 3" at the rear. Just hoping to free up alittle extra power plus quicker spool time. Correct me if im wrong with my thinking??

hit up inline....see what type of exhaust they are using for there 900+ application.

That would be the best guess on whats best for our cars. I personally have Asura's 3 inch dual. and it flows great for my application.

But as far as 4 inch is concerned... i have a 4 inch intake pipe
