Default 6266 turbo

Hi guys,
I have just bought my first s2000. It's an AP1 with 6266 turbo, aem v2, intercooler, meth kit, and many other mods.

I love the car but want the turbo to spool quicker. Should I upgrade to a 6266 ball bearing turbo? My max hp goal is 550 hp and I was thinking maybe I should go for a slightly smaller turbo in ball bearing.

What turbo would you guys recommend.

Thanks for your input..

I use to have a pte 6062bb. I hated the spool time on that turbo. A borg s257sxe or a garrett gtx 3076r is definitely the choice for the power you want. The power curves will be very similar, the borg is just wayyy cheaper, its a journal bearing though. Not that it matters because it still spools stupid fast. I run the 257sxe. Fastest spooling turbo i've ever had. I make just under 600hp.

If you want to stay precision the 5558 would be the only other option id recommend. Although I hate precision with a passion so my vote goes to any other manufacturer. You may be able to retain the same downpipe placement you have if you stay with precision. If you switch to any other brand , at a minimum, you'll have to change the vband flange because precision uses some proprietary vband that doesn't work with normal vbands/clamps..its really stupid.

Best spooling turbo would be a Garrett g25 660. A Garrett gtx3071r gen 2 would also spool great and meet your power goals.
