Default 7 OR 8 pound pulley.

i have the stock comptech s/c with ac and i want to up the boost and add EMS. I have been debating wether to go with a 7 or 8 pound pulley(4" or 3.75"), i want a safe setup and will step up to 550 injectors. what would you guys reccomend for my application. also i have heard that ASP is the company to get the pulley from, are there any opinions on this company, of other suggestions on another pulley i should order? thanks
chris

If you are getting an EMS then get bigger injectors (650s) so you can go up if you want. ASP pulleys are good. After you do the upgrade you will want a 3-1/2 inch pulley so order two in the beginning.

If you have the bigger injectors and EMS might as well order an 8psi and 10psi pulley for giggles

would 550 injectors be ok if i didnt plan on moving up past 8lbs (maybe 9 at the most)? a safe setup is more important to me than that last pound of boost.

I would just get the 750's as they are not much more than 550's plus the 750's give you room to grow and you can run them at a lower injector duty/fuel pressure.

My understanding anything under 10lbs of boost is pretty safe on stock engine. I don't think there is much more of a risk factor between 7 and 8lbs.

Depends on octane rating of your pump stations, climate (humidity, usual temps, SMOG ), heat range of your plugs, etc.

For the most part I'd feel safe boosting 7-8psi.

i am in California and we get bad gas over here,)but where i drive is rarley over 85-90. im relying on the EMS to pull the most power out of the engine, the boost is just a bonus, i just want a little up in the boost, while being very safe.

7psi can be worse than 10psi or vise versa. It all depends on the tune.
