You will need a larger crank pulley and an 8 rib setup. The little Novi 1000, 1200, and 1500s ( and the Vortech V-1, V-2, and V-3s) just can not move enough air.
I am currently running a V7-YSi with an 8 rib setup. The crank pulley is 7.5 inches and the supercharger pulley is 3.75 inches. It is putting out 28 psi at 9700 rpm.
With a 3.5 supercharger pulley it was banging out 31.5 psi but over spinning too much for me. The blow off at idle was overwhelming. Constantly blowing clouds of dust.

The V-7 YSi and Novi 2200R have a 4 inch intake.
You also need a large blow off valve.
Hi, that's interesting. Did you manage to build the kit accessories like the plate, clamps intercooler etc..I also see you're running original radiator, is the engine and drivetrain prepared for that power?

I'm surprised the aftercooler isn't a flow restriction, impeding power.

It was sized for a blower with significantly less cfm capability.

Its actually the most efficient at maintaining flow/boost loss prevention compared to a typical FMIC.

It is an original Vortech kit highly modified to fit the larger blower and wider pulleys. The inter cooler has plenty of capacity and the factory radiator does just fine. The engine is built with CP pistons and Pauter rods by Laskey Racing.

I meant the size of it, not the method of cooling it. Its smallish size not conducive to the seriously high cfm/kgs flow required for that level of hp.
