Just wanted to update you guys. The car is going to be down for a little while. The motor ate a main bearing. Its possible that the pump might of gave out. Time for a built motor I guess. Everything else inside the motor looked mint. I thought a rod would shot out of the block or a damage ring land was going to be the fate of this motor. Oh well...

Yes, I am aware that the e85 thins the oil out. I have kept a close eye on the oil and changed it often. It could of been the ethanol but the wear on that 1 bearing compared to the rest was strange.

Was the crank ok? If so you can swap some bearings and get back to business.

Man LJ, I hate to hear this. Let use know what you find out. I'm now on e85 and dont want this to happen to mine if thats what caused it. What brand and weight of oil were you running? I run Amsoil syn 10w40, which has great acid neutralizers in it and change the oil every 1000 miles.

Could it have just been a bad oil pump? Are you going to continue running e85?

Keep us posted man.
