Does anyone know if the IAC can just be removed?? I am going to be bypassing the coolant going through the throttle body, and was wondering if I should bypass this and put a block plate over it?

You know I am not talking about the Air pump delete right. I am talking about the one in the middle of the intake manifold with all of the coolant hoses running to it.

The coolant passing through the IAC can be safely blocked off but I wouldn't remove the IAC itself.

This may be a dumb question, but If you remove the coolant line won't the IAC valve be useless anyways? I could be wrong, If I am can you explain why it is needed? Thanks in advance for your help!
