Default ACT STREET DISK?

Ok so Ive decided to go with ACT HD pressure plate. Now I know most peeps are running the OEM disc with the ACT HD PP. But Ive been offered a great deal on the ACT street disc!

Ive heard the buzz on the street disk is pretty bad and that the OEM is dead quiet and bites just as well.

Im running 350whp turbo setup.So do I.......

Fork out the extra cash for the OEM or just go with the ACT street disk??

Well I just put in a new ACT with the oem disc with 11.5lb flywheel and have zero chatter or buzz. A new oem disc cannot be that expensive and you can always sell your ACT disc. For your whp the oem disc is just fine so why chance it.

I think the oem disc is around $100 if I remember correctly.

Its the damn shipping to South Africa thats the problem.

I can get the ACT kit shipped at a reasonable price. If I get the OEM disc separate i have to get it from another supplier so im basically paying double the shipping.

Anybody know where i can get the OEM disk. I can get it from our local dealers but its probably cheaper to import one from over there. Sounds crazy but its true!Over here Id pay 250 dollars! I could probably import for 200 including shipping.lol

I have the act pressure plate with street clutch feel and bite is better than oem
very tolerable in traffic.
I hope to be in 400 range with this clutch.on used for 3k miles so far.
as for the noise its only when very cold and for a sec or 2. its a faint whine/buzz

I have the act street pp and disc. I LOVE IT! There is ZERO extra noise or chatter or anything. Plus it grabs and holds better than the stock. I really have nothing but good to say about act clutch. I've driven on mine for over 20k miles with zero issues. I vote for the whole act package

I got my ACT kit installed last week and compared to the stage 2 CC I had it's much less noisy - hardly any buzz at all so far. The drivability's much better too IMO.

I have had both the ACT Street Disc and the OEM disc with the ACT HDSS Pressure Plate.

The ACT Street disc has noticeable clutch buzz on decel, I much prefer the OEM disc. When I swap trans here soon I'll be going back to the OEM disc again.
