ACT STREET DISK?
can people post what weight flywheel they are running with their clutch combo? I wonder if the loss in flywheel mass attributes to clutch buzz. I just did a ap1 with act full street set up and a Toda lightened flywheel and the customer said it buzzed.
I have a stock flywheel and ACT HD kit and make 442 whp and about 300 ft*lbs of torque. I think even the stock clutch setup you hear slight chatter during low rpm deceleration. Now with the ACT disc, the chatter is only a tad bit louder, but i only noticed this in the first couple days. But the sound was so minute, that i didnt even notice that there is chatter after couple days of insatlling it. Keep in mind i also have an exhaust cutout on the stock exhaust system, so even with the cutout closed, i dont even think about the chatter. I honestly dont know why people are so damn concious about the chatter. i mean a 3" exhaust is MUCH louder than the chatter, but people still get it.
Also, i would highly go against getting a lightweight flywheel. just stick with the oem flywheel. i've had very light flywheels before on turbo'ed cars and its no fun when you have to change the gear fast all the time since the rpms drop so fast. for racing purposes i think it is ok, but it just gets annoying for daily driving.
