Default Adjusting Internal Wastegate On Greddy

I remember reading a post on how to adjust the flapper on my wastegate, but after searching, I can't seem to find it. At present the car is torn apart and I'd like some help. I adjusted the arm until it slid on the closed flapper without any tension. Then I tightened it 3 complete turns. Does this seem about right? Thanks.

I think it was 2.5 turns tighter if I remember correctly.

Chris Lum posted it in the old greddy thread.

I'm bored today, how long did it take to pull everything off? Maybe i'll do the same on my car and radius the wastegate port while im at it...

I whent 3 complete turns and it put me around 5.5. I started at 10:30 and I just got back from my test run. I didn't pull the turbo completely out though. i just unbolted everything and flipped the-manifold turbo pair over in its spot. The oil relocator has to come off to get it all the way out, but it's just a matter of the two small mounting bolts, and the center hose and bolt at the engine. Now I have to go grind away all the crap that the junk downpipe is hitting. Also found out my mounting tab on the dp was sheared. I wish I would have gone ITBs.

Cool, then maybe I'll just go and do the half removal like you did...
Chris said you could also bend the AC lines to take it out without removing the oil relocation, but I dont want to break a line since its still hot here in socal and I need my AC.

What do you mean grind out stuff the DP is hitting?

Hope it is all worth it.

The dp was made incorrectly. i think the flange was clocked wrong. my cats heat shield had to be notched to keep it from rattling on the tranny support, along with the spring bolt. IMHO I don't think the turbo is coming out without the relocator removed. My .02

JEimports who did my DP did not really like the greddy design, they increased it to 3" to fit the new turbo. The new GT30 turbo looks so much bigger than the greddy one but it sweeks in there.

I cant wait for the FALL, I love the way my lil Greddy Feels when its cold out . I have been talking with JE imports, looking at a price for thw whole shabang, larger Turbo, 3mm HG, I think Im going to do it, I change my mind every day, but being "done" with your car/build is no fun, its more fun to look forward to things , I think Im going to do a Meth kit in the meantime
