I whent 3 complete turns and it put me around 5.5. I started at 10:30 and I just got back from my test run. I didn't pull the turbo completely out though. i just unbolted everything and flipped the-manifold turbo pair over in its spot. The oil relocator has to come off to get it all the way out, but it's just a matter of the two small mounting bolts, and the center hose and bolt at the engine. Now I have to go grind away all the crap that the junk downpipe is hitting. Also found out my mounting tab on the dp was sheared. I wish I would have gone ITBs.
So did this lessen boost creep or spiking in VTEC?

Do you have a boost controller to raise the boost back up?

Didn't port it, just adjusted it. Greddy had it set at 9.5 stock, so I wanted to be able to turn it down on hot days. The truboost puts it right back at 10 when I want. I'm ALL stock except the kit. Never had spiking.

What type of boost control are you using. If you are using a boost controller then adjusting the wastegate is going to add/subtract the amount of time the external controller device can catch boost and control it.

I'm using the truboost with the spring set to 6. I've never had problems with it spiking. The lower spring rate actually makes it safer as it is more prone to open now.

I'm curious to see if you put a test pipe in there to see where that would bring your boost up to. If your at 5.5 PSI running off the spring I would think the test pipe with a free flowing exhaust would get you right about 10 psi.

We'll see. I'm saving for a ton of parts right now. It should be interesting soon.

WOW so you were getting up to 9.5 pounds of boost with stock exhaust and stock cat?

Freaking Greddy, how damn hard is it to set these arms BEFORE they ship them to us? Now guys like you have to spend all this time adjusting the damn WG.

On a side not my low setting was seeing boost up to 10 or so pounds spiking a little over 12 this morning.. It was cool out though.
I was thinking of adjusting mine this last weekend but didnt but maybe I should have.
