I think your running temps are not that bad, a koyo rad, big spal fan and vented hood should help a lot to lower your temps.

Well, I went ahead and ordered a vented hood today. It should be here next week so I will see how much difference that makes and go from there. Depending on the results I get from that, I may go forward with a radiator and some good fans. Thanks again for the help everyone!

Even if the AC is going warm at stop/slower speeds? Fully realizing that there is a big ol' intercooler blocking the radiator, I would hope that I could blast some AC?

Is this applicable to the V2 though as well? I saw a few people questioning that in the thread. The guy that tuned my car didn't mention offhand about having to change the calibrations for the temps and he's tuned quite a few 600+ whp S2000's.

Mugen replica for now. Cheap enough and available now, so I can get it on and see what the results are. If good enough, I may look into a top secret or J's type V. Just depends really.

Sure thing ... Im pretty sure it will help some, but I'll do some before and after driving on the same day so I can check possible temp differences and post results back on this thread.

Random update on my end, I purchased the Spoon radiator cap, fan switch and thermostat and had a chance to install the fan switch and radiator cap yesterday afternoon.

The fans cut on now at ~182° and keep the car colder. I hope doing the thermostat will help some as well. I haven't had a chance to be in stop/go traffic yet but I'm hoping the fans kicking off earlier will help.

I was curious though too tx2k if you had any luck with the vented hood? I was looking at maybe getting a Spoon or Mugen one myself.

@ themuffinman

Actually, it has lowered my temps and helped. I havent been able to check the temps on a suitable 100+ degree day yet because of this rain and cool front we had, but hopefully I can do that within the next week. However, I did check on a day in the 93-95 degree area and my temps were 190-195 which is where it should be. My fans come on at 195 and go off at 190 so that was a win that day. Ill post back when I can check the 100+ temps.
