sounds like a safe way to save some $$$, one of my clients has some motec goodies arriving but since his motor was rebuilt has been running a stock '02 ecu with a used vafc he got for $100 and it works fine. 9:1 2.4 motor and 1500 miles in leak down is 3% all the way around so i think your safe. make sure you have a wideband and good luck

 

So would you guys suggest getting/having a fuel pressure guage, fpr/rrfpr and wideband at the very least?
