Default Advice on Vortech setup

So i made 350 whp on a dynojet with my current setup which, from my research on this site, i thought would atleast make 400 whp.

Here is my current setup:
Heres my setup:

F20 motor (Built by previous owner.. low comp pistons valve springs retainers, possibly rods and valves as well)
Vortech V2
3.8" Pulley making 12 psi (was supposed to be 14-15?)
Larger heat exchanger (frozenboost 3" thick)
1000cc ID injectors
Walbro 380 fuel pump
AEM EMS
4 inch intake pipe with K&N filter
DC header
aftermarket exhaust
test pipe

Now i still have my stock aftercooler pump. i'm thinkin if i change that to the cobra pump it'll free up some ponies since the heat exchanger was ice cold and the aftercooler was warm to the touch.. would this also put the boost up to where it was supposed to be? (14-15 rather than 12) what else could be limiting my boost?

also i realize some of you have changed your cam timing. is it best to use the cam keys? or cam gears? or get like brian crower stage 2 cams?

any other suggestions?

thanks

From what I've researched on here the dc header is junk and can rob power. Better off using stock from what ive read Also try. E-tune from Evans tuning. If you are not close to him Everyone says he's the best and knows his stuff. I also have a very similar setup being finished at the end of the month

What compression is the motor? Pump gas? Pulley down to run 14 psi. But depending on your cr u can be down 10-20whp just from that.

What elevation? What dyno?

not sure on the compression of the motor to be honest. its running pump gas (94 octane). was tuned on a dynojet in the ground. I am also running a test pipe.

I thought the 3.8 pulley was supposed to run 14-15 psi? it only gave me 12...

I'm still learning but from the research I have done the power band I want to be in 350-360whp on my ap2 I need a 4" pulley which will yield me 10psi of boost(11psi on an ap1). So a 3.8" pulley would get 12psi on an ap2 and 13 psi on an ap1. With a 3.8" pulley most people are around 380whp. Maybe the lower compression is giving you a power loss but don't quote me on that. I am still learning.

I too am looking into a Vortech kit.

bump... I have an AP1.

according to the pulley chart in the FAQs i should be getting 14psi from the 3.8" pulley. instead i'm getting 12 psi.

i bought the pulley from ASP

unfortunately i don't have these charts. The boost builds pretty smooth tho per my boost gauge.
