Default AEM Boost Control Question

I'm using a switch to change between high/low boost.

I had significant creeping issues on my 7lb spring, that exceeded my pump gas capibilites..so I swapped to a smaller 4lb spring. Which holds @ 6lbs.

If my math is correct, puts me around ~ 300-320whp. SLOW, which is wastegate currently.

I have a switch that when flipped changes me to full boost, 15psi, but that requires 110 (race gas).

I want to change my setup so that my switch takes me to my preset of let's say 9lbslbs or so instead of 15.

I know this is where I change it, but I'm not exactly sure how to change it, and what = 9lbs for example ?

I know it's the top box, with the long gradual curve, but I'm unsure on what changes I need to make.

Thanks

Call inlinepro. I use to call them frequently for questions on tweaking my map. They are always willing to help if they know what you need.

lol, yea but I didn't really buy anything from them but manifold studs..lol.

I don't feel comfortable doing that. I do alot of PC work, and I hate people calling me asking how to fix the stuff when they don't pay me, or haven't had me do any work for them.

its similar to setting up boost per gear. you must know what your target vs duty cycle % is.

then derive that table.

you also have your WG Feedback active. if thats not correct, you are going to have trouble getting to your target boost levels.

I am unsure on how to do that?

So my target is what boost I want to run and what that is = to in Duty cycle % ?

How do I figure that out?

Also, what is WG Feedback ? I "assume" my tuner set that, why is that a bad thing?

They did not provide services to me neither, I just called them and they were always happy to help.

Maybe you can try asking the person who tuned your car?

I read all that thinking I had mine setup wrong until I got to the end and read this...

*NoteYou can set up the boost compensation target table directly without any input from the boost wg base duty map.

[QUOTE=Evans Tuning,May 28 2009, 06:27 PM]On some of the drag cars that I tune with AEM running 6 psi wg springs, we can get 40-50 psi of boost but the duty cycle is in the 80-90% range.

While we're on the subject, would you see any reason or benefit to running a higher duty at lower boost numbers to help spool time? Numbers are exaggerated but something like this...

like if you were shooting for 10.47psi?

Jeff I certainly appreciate the time to reply to my post

Would it not be easier to change the value in the Boost Switch Target to activate @ an earlier boost pressure.

Although I don't quit understand why my value is set to 183, which is around 12lbs and not 202 which should be the 15lbs I'm running?

But could I just decrease that value until I see where it would put me in the 8-10lb range?

Just a though.

Thanks as always.
