Default AEM EMS 1052u

Hey guys-

I have gotten around to uploading my base tune while I am still waiting on all the final odds and ends to get in from HP Performance. I tried to upload my base tune to the ECU, but when I clicked on the "ECU / Send New Calibration" menu, it states: "No Installation for ECU type 'AEM15GEN' version 'V1.19'" I am a bit of an AEM noob, so I can only guess that this means I need to upgrade the firmware to v1.19...

I am assuming I need to upgrade the firmware to v1.19. I clicked on the "Update EMS Firmware" menu, and I click through the "next" buttons until it asks me to select "Open FIN file to program." There are no v1.19 versions in this dialog box, only up to v1.11 (and there are 3 versions "v1.11b", "v1.11c", and "v1.11c-Ford Only".

I am assuming that I need to upgrade my firmware, but where can I download this upgrade? I went to AEM's website, and there is nothing in terms of downloads directly from the site (or so I have seen). I went to the forum, and there is a downloads section, but I only saw 1.21 and 1.11 versions...

Does anyone have a link to where I can get the upgraded firmware? I am assuming this will fix the issue. If not, please enlighten me!

Thanks

John

Anyone? Does anyone know if I need to update to v1.11 before v1.19 will show up as an update option?

Thanks again

Well, the software was an outdated version, so it did not have the v1.19 update option. Updated to v1.19 firmware successfully. The base tune is still not being recognized as a valid calibration file. I may try to downgrade to v1.11 tomorrow to see if its a v1.11 file (dialog box only selects v1.19 cal files... not all file types).

Thanks again to anyone who can shed some light on this for me.

Later

John

update ecu to current firmware?
update software to current firmware?
so they both are the same - try to load base tune again

Apparently the base tune lost its file extension somewhere in the transfer. I forwarded it to a buddy to have him take a peek, and he said it had no extension at all... I have emailed HP asking them to re-send it.

Thanks again.
