Default AEM EMS..or NO?

Sup guys, boostin my s2000 for the first time and have everything but an ems. I Want to pull the trigger on the aem ems 2 BUTT, whats up with this starting problem?? I think I've read all the threads on this problem already from the tuner, to voltage, ground, sensors and the ems frying.
Anyone running the aem ems 2 with no problems?
What are your thoughts?
Who in your opinion is considered good with tuning the aem ems on the s2k around houston?
If my s2k has that low voltage start problem(mines right now), how can I fix that? Optima battery from autozone?

Thanks guys for any kind of input and your time.

Mase turbo kit aiming for 450 and......boost by gear.

Excuse my spelling

Not sure to tell you yes or no. BUT

I have the ems v2 and I'm trying to fix the low voltage problem right now. It's not as bad as I figured it would be. Just that my car hiccups when I try to put the top down or turn the lights on. But that's from a stand still.

NEVER buy the optima battery. Garbage. Horrible.

If you wanna go dry cell. Lean toward oddysey. Even though this didn't fix my issue

No problem here. It just takes a couple extra cranks because the AEM has to "stat sync" before firing. It's a safety thing.

I have a 1052U & it starts right up, some days it takes a few extra cranks. Hardly a deal breaker.

I have a V2 and I'm having the cranking issue.

Initially I relocated my battery to the trunk which made the problem far worse. I put it back in the stock location and it starts but it takes a looooong time to start when the car is cold.

I believe it's a tuning issue because some people tend to have the problem while others don't.

I'd suggest you get a competent tuner who has a solution to the "start-up" problem before pulling the trigger because it's annoying having to crank the car for a long time.

+1

I've had two yellow tops in two different cars fail within a year (the only two I've ever purchased). The cheap Everstarts I replaced them with have been going fine for ~4 years now.

In regard to the OT, I love my AEM V2.

What I would be keep in mind is what is going to be your evap can solution. Most eventually start "leaking" fuel. If the series 2 can control it, no prob and even so, I'd put in a strong check valve in place since those valves/solenoids weren't designed to see boost. Else, you're going to have to pull the lines and vent your fuel tank safely.
