The logging bug brought up in this thread is simply an extra key-stroke required by the user when configuring the logging settings (the old AEMPro did this automatically). This has been since been fixed in a revision that was released a little while back and AEMTuner takes care of it. Logging currently works like it did with the older AEMPro and some awesome new features are coming soon that will expand the logging even further!

If a tuner programs auxiliary functions like anti-lag combined with safety features for water/meth injection, etc., those functions can and will stack together if the thresholds are met. Ex: Vehicle is running 35° BTDC timing advance in vacuum while cruising down the road. Anti-lag programmed to reduce timing advance by 40° and water/meth injection failsafe setup to pull 10° if one or more thresholds are met. If you happened to be in a situation where the qualifying options are satisfied for anti-lag and water/meth failsafe at the same time, using the above example you would be running 15° ATDC... severely retarded condition. Run down the road for even a minute under those conditions and your EGTs will skyrocket! The EMS will do exactly what you ask it to!

The new 2.0 software being released next week mentioned earlier in this thread is going to be incredible! There are hundreds and hundreds of the new Series 2 boxes running on the streets now. It's really an incredible EMS!

If any of you will be at the Ultimate Track Car Challange at VIR tomorrow, there will be a nice handful of Series 2 cars running the event. Flag down any of the AEM guys and they will be happy to give you a tour of the system.

Most of the bugs with the series 2 were fixed. I have noticed it can control larger injectors better with its faster processor, logging is WAY improved from a internal standpoint, and this might just be me, but I have been able to get cars to start better with the series 2 ecu.

i have the series 2.

no complaints besides the fact that it has managed to ruin my ECT gauge in my ap2.

unplugged the oem ecu, plugged in the series 2, ECT went crazy, and now it reads all sorts of crazy stuff at random times. the ecu itself reads solid temps, but the gauge is screwed no matter what ecu i plug in. gonna just cut the wire to the dash and run a true temp gauge with its own sensor.

Thanks Series2!........... :-/

I have the saeries 2. My tuner hadn't played with it ever before. He had been using series 1 on his car for years.

He liked the series 2.

I like how it has a usb input and also shows coolant temp.

0 issues with my series 2 ecu once it was all set up properly. i really wouldn't get an old outdated series 1. the bugs have been worked out of the newer one like everyone says. 30-6052 is the future for aem...

serial port only ftl

it has just been confirmed by my local honda dealer tech that my water temp gauge is reading duty cycles erratically after installing the aem. the parameters monitored on their multi-meter for duty cycle-to-temp/ECT bars are wayyyyy off on my car. the gauge seems to "wander" as they put it no matter what the signal is coming into the ecu. and the ecu is interpreting the correct voltage from the oem ECT sensor.

coincidence?...... i think not.

installing an oem ecu at the dealer didnt change my display(car wasnt running obviously) either.

JoeyBalls has the same issue with his. sucks for us i guess.....

get the modifry temp gauge fix and be done with it. why aem cant figure this problem out and a forum member could is beyond me.

the modifry wont help a gauge that has been fried cam. its like the aem sent too much voltage to it or something and ruined it. the gauge wont work even with a stock ecu anymore. the modifry doesnt repair broken gauges, it only modifies the signal from the ecu to the gauge.
