Default AEM EMS Two Step?

Does anyone know how to setup two step on aem ems? Everytime I switch it to on or something or set revs it doesnt do anything on aem pro.. I think i need to run a switch or something?

Any tutorial or some instructions would greatly be appreciated..

AEM EMS 1052

Thanks

-K

Do you know how to get to the 2step menu? If you do, you have to press enter after you put in the settings for them to lock in...otherwise it just changes back to what it was set to.

Just set the specific values (and make sure the switch is turned on, its one of the drop down menus if I remember right) and your good to go.

However, I've heard of failure in the stock valve springs using the 2step so I'd be careful of using it.

one person had issues with a very aggressive two step! i think he bent 6 exhaust valves or something! when you find the drop down, setup the two step to the way you want it... Set the VSS value to something like 6 mph, and the high and low for the rpm cut off. the less aggressive will decrease the amount of psi you can build, but will probably help your motor stay together longer!

Like everyone else says, theres no trick to setting it up, just make sure the values are saved.

On a fairly conservative setup I still make 9-10psi and my motor is all stock. I don't use it all the time, but I've used it at least 25-30 times with no damage on my AP1.

well aside from enabling it within the software you have to have a physical switch (usually the clutch) hooked up to the EMS as well dont you? Otherwise the EMS has no way of knowing you're ready to use the 2step

No, you set parameters to activate it...for example you must be below xxx mph to activate.

However, you could wire up some kind of manual switch to activate it if you want to.
just setting the VSS value (speed) allows it to always work under a certain speed!
