Default aem fuel pressure regulator

Does anyone have the AEM FPR? I ordered mine just a minute ago. I couldn't tell by the picture if it had a place to add a gauge. Does it have the hole for a gauge, or do you have to get an inline gauge? And if it is inline, does the gauge go on before the regulator or on the return line? Thanks

really? There is now other way to do it? I'd rather not tap into the fuel rail, can't I just run an inline right after to fuel rail?

You could I would think.

But the FPR doesn't have a hole on it for you to screw into.

Cool Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I just need to find out now if I can run an inline! I don't have a tap and die set so....

Thanks again

You mentioned running an inline on the return. This is not the place to attach a gauge. The return is the low pressure bleed off the FPR and will not tell you anything.

A tap and die kit can be picked up for a few bucks and is what you need.

Cool, I'm about to order the tap and die kit. How do you do it and where on the fuel rail do you tap it? Do you just drill into it and make new threads? I never used a tap and die kit before. Thanks

You need to know what sort of thread the gauge has and fins a suitable location. Front end of the rail is good I hear.

For each tap there is a recommended drill size. I look mine up on web sites. Google will help. You drill the hole, then run the tap through. Use some teflon tape on the thread and screw it in.

The easiest is just tap the rail.
