Default Fuel Pressure Regs & Gauges

I would like to add a gauge to my "AEM" fuel pressure regulator, what will fit?

1 - Name brands and models if possible or if you got the time.

2 - Will it mount directly to the fuel pressure regulator?

3 - If "No" to question #2 do I need to upgrade my fuel rail to attach one to the fuel rail or will one directly connect
to my stock fuel rail?

Thanks in advanced & Mahalo!

People have tapped the fuel rail to attach gauges. The fitting on mine is 10mm, though I'm not sure of the thread pitch/count

Something like B&M is relatively inexpensive, but the liquid-filled gauges will read more "stable"

most gauges are just 1/8 npt. if you want a gauge in the car, you gotta get a fuel pressure isolator gauge kit which is a gauge that does not send the fuel into the cabin where the gauge is mounted. if you want a simple gauge in the engine bay, just get any liquid filled 1/8 npt gauge and tap your fuel rail or fpr

Isn't there a port on the side of the fuel pressure regulator for a gauge to screw in to?

I know the most common size for a fuel pressure gauge like the one I'm referring to, has a 38mm face and a 1/8 NPT male fitting.

I'll go check Summit and Jegs for a B&M one.

This is what confuses me, quite a few people are telling me liquid filled gauges and others are saying non-liquid filled are more accurate.

Also I thought there was a port on the side of my AEM FPR that is ment for a gauge to go there? I'n not near my S2K right now so I'll have to go check when I get home but I could of sworn I saw that there.

Thanks for your in put BTW =D

you have three choices:

non-liquid filled gauge (on fpr or rail), these tend to flutter around a couple psi since they dont have the liquid stabilizing them inside the gauge

liquid filled gauge (on fpr or rail), these are more stable

fuel gauge with isolator kit (mounted inside cabin), this is a kit that you buy which sends fuel from the rail/fpr to an isolator, then there is another line that goes from the isolator to the gauge in the car...just so your not sending fuel inside the car.

Ok so I didn't see a port on the AEM fuel pressure regulator, I guess I was seriously mistaken LOL. haha..... =/

Does any one have pics or a "Do it your self" thread, for tapping a gauge on to an FPR, possibly for an AEM one lol...I just wouldn't know where to tap it
and done wanna switch fuel pressure regulators to an Aeromotive one which already has a port for a gauge.

which fpr is it? gotta link?

what about your fuel rail?

do you prefer it on the fpr rather than the rail? both locations are good.

Its on an AEM FPR and I'm running a stock fuel rail, I would perfer it to be on the FPR. I checked out a B&M fuel pressure gauge earlier and it looked pretty decent.

Thanks for your input and let me know what you think I should do.

Thanks again.

It's easy to tap the rail.
