Default AEM infinity 506

Anyone that has done the swap on a ap2 from a reflash mangement to this ecu. Can u explain the $445 mark up between say RSP $1399 and SOS ($1845) ?? I dont think anything comes extra besides a mounting solution i think i read. They still charge extra for P&P harness.

Really after the afr trim capability in boost, extra compensation tables, and safety sensors u can plug right into this thing.

Thinking about selling my ktuner touch and flashpro along with the ktuner flex converter, and keep the content sensor.

Its been out for a while now as well, would like to hear some opinions on it.

I don't understand the SOS markup either. I called around before I got my infinity. The best price I got including the PnP harness was $1450 shipped.

There is a TON of tables. The hardest part I have found is finding a tuner that can/will actually take advantage of everything the infinity has to offer.

I think i read it wrong. It does come with pnp harness but not the CAN translator??? Still trying to decipher the markup.

Do u have dash compatibility?

This is what it says it includes, just dont read the bottom cause then im rlly confused (last two words)
  • AEM Infinity-506 ECU
  • fully assembled and professionally constructed plug-and-play electrical harness w/ epoxy potted connectors
  • fully assembled mounting panel
  • wideband sensor electrical harness w/ 1200 deg F heat resistant sleeving
  • sealed connector, terminals, and seals for accessory connector
  • 30+ page with instruction manual with step by step photos instructions gets you up and running quickly
  • ScienceofSpeed-tuned base calibration allows you to start and run the engine within minutes of installation
ScienceofSpeed AEM Infinity 506 Engine Management System - S2000, 2006-09 (no ECU)

guess what im also asking is if i bought the cheaper option what would i be missing out on?
What all hook ups came with yours? Or are missing?

It seems the markup would be due to the mount, PNP harness, and a wideband sensor harness.

My flashpro is just laying around and the touch is pretty new and works for a bunch of platforms i think i can break even with the ktuner flex converter as well on top.

Honestly, If you call them you can probably get a better price. They are probably obligated to not advertise below a certain price for their dealer agreement with AEM. That goes for a lot of products across various industries.

That being said, im sure the SOS PnP harness will drive the cost up as the labor cost for them is MUCH more than it is for AEM, who mass produces it.

From what you listed, I don't see any difference other than what they are calling their base tune? ....The AEM base tune was fine for me, plus you can just go closed loop and it doesn't matter what base tune you have. You get the windband sensor harness on the AEM PnP as well. I don't see anything being gained by going SOS
I don't use a CAN bus connection for other displays, my dash works fine. I just use a surface pro 3 hooked up through usb for my gauge interface.

It's also worth noting that the harness SOS makes is specifically for 06+. The one from AEM is for 00-05 only.
