Default AEM Methanol Injection

S2ki Team,

I'm working on installing the AEM Meth Kit and I'm undecided on how to mount the tank in the trunk. I've stripped the carpet out of the trunk and am peering around, no easy choices. I am hoping to use some existing holes rather than drilling and risking the formation of rust. For that matter, I am hoping to avoid self tapping screws. I think I may buy some 'L' brackets, modify them, and trim the carpet to bolt the tank up. Anyone have any experience with this?

Here is my setup. I got some wood from Home Depot and then got some carpet to lay over it. Looks OEM:

Just finished constructing mine. I'm using the 1 gal tank. I'm stealing your setup with some vertical posts to mount the smaller tank vertically. I"m also using 10mm thick ABS plastic.

Did you find any lag with the pump being so far from the nozzle? I suppose it probably doesn't matter much since neither side seems like it would stay pressureized w/o a check valve. I'm going to try to tuck it behind the bumper at the lower left hand corner of the radiator using existing holes and a plastic bracket I made.

Why did you go with the diesel sized giant tank lol? The small version is more than enough.

I fit the pump and tank into 'tool-kit'.

Most of the system is covered.

How can my pump and tank be mounted less then 10" from my intake and still get a 2 sec delay and yours is all the way in the trunk and is hardly perceivable? Shit when mine was in the trunk I had a 3-4 second delay Just cant effectively tune around that. Still cant really with a 2 sec delay. Wish I could figure out how to get instant like response, I could then up the boost and be making quite a bit more power.

Do you have the older style pump? I don't know if that makes a differance or not. Also Try getting rid of your check valve, that caused all kinds of problems for me.......

No doubt. If that were to be filled up all the way, you wouldn't use that much in an entire season of racing...haha.
