Thumbs down Question for the guys who mount their METH PUMP

Well, I finally got my AEM Water/Meth Flow guage back and it works , however I noticed that when the pump activates (green LED lights up) there is a FULL second, Second and half before the flow guage senses flow. I assumed it would take a little bit of time between when the pump activates and when it is hitting the nozzle, but just seemed to take a little longer then I had hoped.

The Flow gauge is pretty cool though

Anyway I guess this is the price you pay when you mount the pump in the trunk, I was wondering who else has mounted it in their trunk?

The Little AEM controller box is IMO could be designed a lot better. The little screw hole adjustable things are veyr small and it is NEAR impossible to see where it is actually set, more of a move the dial and see what it does, very poor design in my opinion. This is part of the reason that I am going for a re-tune, we set the controller to start spraying at 10psi, however it was really set to come on at around 16psi (which is fine because it was tuned for that). I am thinking this time around I will have the pump activate much earlier 6-8psi, so it will account for not only the delay but will also cool the charge a lot more, being it will be spraying a longer amount of time. (there actually may be a problem with my controller?)

Anyway, I don't feel like remounting the Pump in the engine bay, however I feel like the delay would be GONE

The really nice thing about the gauge is I can see when it is truly spraying at 100% duty cycle.

do you have a check valve? maybe putting a check valve will keep the meth in the lines instead of flowing back into the tank and having to get pumped all the way to the front everytime it sprays

I do have a check valve, now I think of it, it is mounted right by the nozzle, I should probably mount it right after the pump...............

I mounted mine in the trunk. Just have the meth come on earlier, when you don't REALLY need it, and tune for it. I'm sure it's consistent isn't it?? As far as the amount of time it takes for the sensor to read flow??

Why put the pump in the trunk when there is ample room in the drivers side fender?

There is also a hole already there to come right into the engine bay into the charge piping.

I wanted it in a place where I could access it easily

i can kind of agree here. mine is in the fender, and while its not hard to remove, it does take 10 mins or so. which is way longer then pop trunk and there it is.
