Default AEM UEGO question

My UEGO gauge is reading 14.7 only and doesn't fluctuate at all. I pulled it out and it was completely covered in black residue. Sprayed it with brake cleaner and it still doesn't work. Is there anything else Ic an try to fix it, or do I need to get another one. If I need another one, can I get just the sensor or do I have to buy a whole new UEGO kit? Thanks,
Jonathan

If I remember correctly my gauge reads 14.7 if the sensor is not plugged in. Sure you do not have a wiring problem?

I don't think so. We unplugged it to clean it and plugged it back in. I'll have to check.
