Default aem v1, log data, where to find actual file extension SOLUTION INSIDE

I wanted to send my tuner some logs from my cars AEM EMS V1, I can get the logs from the ecu, view them in aemlog but cannot find them when I "browse" for the file to attach it to an email, its "locked"...... anyone know how to find the actual file extension so I can send it over to my tuner?

I cant use the programs as an administrator for some reason either.....

thanks !

Lee...been a while since I did that but I think I just saved the files to a folder I created I, then just attached them to an email. Look for .stf files

I'm planning on doing some live logs tomorrow with my laptop Hooked up, not just downloading from ecu after some runs, see if that helps

if you do a live data log or pull logs from the ecu, all you do is save the file to desktop instead of in the data folder

problem solved

thanks

How do you log using AEM? I do live logs but they're always empty files. In other words I'll click on start logging, then click on stop logging, save the file to desktop, but the file is 0KB's in size and completely empty. How do I configure AEM to make sure it's actually spitting data into the logs?

Don't worry about aem log, just drive do some pulls, then go to ecu tab while connected to the ecu and click download log file , save as on desktop, should automatically open aem log ....
