I'm sure if it only hits 350 I won't be unhappy

I can't describe the feeling of just having it on the road again. I've still got a few things to take care of, but nothing really to keep me off the road when a few more parts come in (forgot to tighten the header to the test pipe so I lost those bolts going down the road. I must say open header was LOUD!)

I'm going to try to design an adapter for the TB to supercharger that turns the TB 90 degrees (so it points toward the fender). I'll tackle that after the first of the year. I'll post some vids once I get her really on the road.

Yes I did drive it down the street with no bumper and no hood. I didn't care! Boost is addicting. Very very addicting.

If you have a shop make one of those adapters, I might ask you to have em make two if I don't sell the car next summer.

The one thing I have been thinking about for this car is a hood scoop. I can't find one that would not look crappy and mess up the looks of the front of the car, but from what I read, the positive displacement blowers are limited by how much air they can "suck" in. It is tight in there and some air forced down a scoop at speed would porbably make a nice extra kick, although you would never see it on a dyno sheet unless you were blowing air into it.

i thought of doing something like this over by the blower filter

Two people that I know of did just that naca duct, Neptuner and WLaurent. That would give you a little oomph, but mostly intake temp drop. I was thinking more of something like this:

I saw one custom installed on a car and the end result was nice, but it would have to be off center and I am not sure how it would look. I could buy it for $50 and lay it on the hood to see, then junk it if it looks terrible.

Yeah I saw neptuner's car in person. He made a box and then had a napa duct going into it. Was pretty nice set-up. I was thinking something similar I just don't have the room. Seemed like the best option was to move the throttle body itself. I think there is enough slack in the throttle cable. If I get around to making that piece I'll drop you a line. Don't have a clue how much it would be, but it won't be cheap. It would be CNC on a HAAS machine

Ok thanks.

You just gave me an idea though. Where the elbow to the throttlebody goes hard left towards the fender, I could turn the elbow to straight up (if I have enough clearance because it is tucked in there pretty well) make small airbox with panel filter leading to hood scoop posted above. That actually might work.

But I told myself I was done putting money into it and going to go into a different car.

if you have a scuba flipper use it looks pretty much the same save $50 bucks

Vader, that is kinda what neptuner did. I have pics on my old phone. I'll try to post them first of the week.

So a little update:

Got a new belt and adjusted the supercharger. It appears that the idler pulley is not aligned with the nose and crank pullies. There are some shims in the bracket that I am going to take out and everything should line up great. The belt isn't running, it is just rolling over some on the back of the idler wheel.

Got most of the bodywork done, hood, bumper are back on. Air was in the A2W system so filled it up some more. It will probably take some time to get all the air out.

Adjusted the throttle tip in and vtec. She pulls pretty hard down bottom now. I am getting some spark issues up after 6000 rpms at WOT. My dumbass forgot to change the plugs. New ones on order and should solve the problem.

I drove it to work today. Few rattles here and there of things that probably need to be tightened, but all in all I'm extremely happy. Not pushing her really hard until I get her on the dyno. Hopefully I will have all the small things done this weekend and will be able to schedule some dyno time. There is still a lot of timing to add since I'm running a really safe tune. I'll keep everyone posted on the dyno results.

So I got the spark plugs changed. It definitely made the difference in upper RPMs. Hopefully going to the dyno off on the 12th. We will just have to see the schedule.

Whose dyno are you going to use?
