Default Air Pump removal with AEM EMS

I want to remove my air pump and all associated wiring: 7.5a fuse and casing, solenoid, air pump, vac lines etc & current sensor.

I've removed everything but the current sensor and now the car doesn't like it and won't start. If you put the air pump back in circuit the car starts fine.

So before I pull the system for good and remove the current sensor, what software tweaks are needed in AEM tuner so the car will start......

I assume it's the current sensor holding the start off. When you look at the S2000 manual and EMS pin layout it looks like C24 (ADCR13) is the EMS imput from the current sensor.

So if I remove the current sensor or remove this pin will the car start and if not how do you disable this input in AEM tuner?

Thanks

I just removed my air pump and it did not affect startup at all. It looks like the EMS documentation points to ADCR13 as an available/spare 0-5V input.

Jim on my AEM EMS V2 there is no configurable output for the air pump or any settings you can muck around with. Are you sure you haven't just disconnected something and caused a major vacuum leak onto the inlet manifold?

if you have removed all the vacuum lines, make sure the port (closest to firewall) is plugged. if you're leaving the air control valve in place, make sure it's not seeing vacuum.

Which 7.5A fuse did you pull? Have you tried starting without removing any fuses?
