Default Air Temperature sensor needed on charge pipe?

I was wondering is this sensor needed when I install my charge pipes. I have the Ptuning charge pipes and it has port that is open on the throttle body side where the vac block is normally mounted. I have a MY07 S2000 and I am using Hondata Flashpro.

I left mine on the intake manifold. It's more prone to heat soak there, but it still works fine.

Fine to move it, even though it is a more accurate reflection of iat's, but not absolutely necessary.

Are you asking if it's needed all together? Or needed specifically on the charge pipe? Since you have an 06+ (me too), you're going to have to put the sensor in the charge pipe since there is no port on the manifold for it. The sensor is needed. The ecu will use air temp to adjust timing when needed. The ptuning charge pipes should make the install easy, isn't there a hole specifically designed to accept the factory sensor?

I had to get a little crafty to install my sensor in the charge pipe without having it blow out under boost.

Put it in there. On my old civic I fastened it in the pipe with a rubber grommet and it never even blew out under 25psi of boost.

Ok thanks. Yeah there's a hole and it kinda fits on there but was just wondering? Also for the vaccume lines for the Mac solenoid I should be ok with with lines from the auto store right. They are all -4an barb fittings.
