Nice numbers. How come so many 2-5 shifts? Tranny going out or something?

Good news, tranny is fine! Did some searching around and found others had the problem with 6th gear and it 'fixed' itself. So I played around with the shifter for a while and got it back in gear. 5th & 6th are on the same syncro slider and I guess 'skip shifting' can fubar the syncro a little but with a little working it can be straightened back out. Now that that's fixed, gonna change the fluid and check the old fluid out.

what rpm were you launching at?
Around 6k with no 2step. Slipped the clutch a little to get the car rolling and put a light load on things and then dumping the rest of the way to get out of the hole.

Thanks man!

NGK BKR8EIX, can't remember exactly the gap but I know I didn't have to adjust them out of the box.

Loose nut behind the wheel

Tranny is fine, I've got an old plastic (used to be leather covered) shift knob that I've had for like 7 years. Put it in all of my cars kinda like a 'good luck' piece. I don't think it's too ideal for this car/trans though, need something with some weight.

sort of off topic question, but how do you like the hertz III's on the rear?

Previous owner put them on the front of my car but all seasons on the back. I couldnt get any traction with all seasons at the strip last week with a stock motor.

Do they grip pretty good (especially with your kind of power?)

They seem to work pretty good. I like them because they have an 'inside' and an 'outside' and the inside is 'beefed up' for cars with negative camber. But fwiw, I was able to cut 1.9 60's on cheapo Fuzion ZRi's or whatever they're called, 245/45/16's.
