Default dipstick issues..

ok, im not FI yet but i was going through the PCV thread and got me thinking... my dipstick seems to be popping up every time i drive the car hard. is this normal? could it be a clogged PCV? i understand that its because the crankcase is seeing more pressure than can be relieved.

should i be worried? the car runs HARD for only having a 3" exhaust that i fabbed up a few months ago.. i've beat an ap1 with headers/exhaust and an AFC, i beat an AP2 with a PWJDM intake, and another AP2 with intake/header/exhaust all on the same night and im talking about pulling away 1-2 cars by 4th gear (no they arent shitty drivers)

any insight?

I wonder now, this dipstick problem was an issue 4-5 years ago. I remember being at a meet with XViper and he wasn't sure what it was but had theories.

One guy had the issue since new. Turning the dipstick around works for most people it worked for me for awhile, but now it pops out even turned around. But I don't burn a drop of oil, never have.

I removed the PCV and I don't know if it is broken but it doesn't rattle very much like the Supra ones I bought, so I replaced it. Hopefully this solves my issue, I am going to the track Friday I'll find out then!

When did you switch to mobil1? how many miles?
mobil1 is THE worst oil for these cars. There are even threads backing that up. I have seen the highest failure rates of TCT's on mobil1.
This motor hates it for some reason. You have alot of crankcase pressure thats why your popping dipstick.
Switch back to conventional oil, say valvoline 10/40.
Now take the car and drive it REALLY hard. i mean, like youve never driven it. find somewhere you can push the thing to the rev limiter in all 6 gears. do this repeatedly. You need alot of cylinder pressure to seat the rings and wear off the glaze you have created.
Get back to me after youve done this. You wont have an issue again.
Ive fixed prob 50 s2ks this way.
Its common to baby'd cars and synthetic/syn installed to early cars.
