Default Another stupid manifold tread...

I´ve searched the forum and read the stuff about manifolds, most people think tubular is better than log and I agree.
The only question for me is the price difference, is it worth the extra bucks on a 400hp engine for example?

Tested it on a 300hp engine many years ago with no difference at all, how about 400? Is there any limit you reached when you saw big numbers from swapping to tubular?

Normally turbo size, fuel system or other parts max out before the manifold, is there big gains on spool and midrange power if we forget the top end power?

I would rather spend the extra cash on a good turbo if they did the same job.

inline pro is not a log, it's a cast manifold with somewhat of a collector built in. i would go with inline pro cast manifold for 400hp. do not use a tubular log manifold, those suck.

I agree. the inline pro cast manifold works well. its a nice design and is very strong. Ive made 525whp on pump gas with that manifold.

Thanks, great info from real users and not "on paper" geeks.

Can´t find the Inline Pro manifold on their site, only the huge tubular. Maybe discontinued?

nope they still make it. its a much better seller than their race turbo kit since most people want less than 500whp. It is better than a pfab log. its much stronger and its been proven to flow better.

Thats interesting. I thought all logs flowed the same.

because it pretty much has a built in collector and the exhaust gasses have less interference.

No problem thread jacking but it would help if you read the thread before posting. The answer to your question is in the first reply.

i can't say which one would be better but what i can share is the one that i have in my car. It is from Weir Technologies and I am making 422@12psi with a 70mm exhaust on a GT30. i now have an inline pro 3" exhaust where i think i should be around 440whp.

Here are some pics.
