Default any cop issues with open wastegate noise?

Have any of you had an issue with cops stopping you because of the loud noise from the wastegate opening? Obviously if youre wategate is open all the way you're probably going really fast and the cop would stop you for that, but I'm more thinking of a situation where a cop is down the road and doesnt see you, but hears you and then when they drive by your car and see it looks like it may be the culprit (ie gauges, jdm looks, ect) they pull you over? I'm just super paranoid and want to get a feel for others experience.

thanks!

dude you are really blowing this whole wastegate thing out of proportion lol. The wastegate isnt loud unless it is open. Its not open unless you are WOT. If a cop sees a 400+whp car flying by WOT then you have more issues to worry about then a wastegate sound.

Its a high revving 4 cyl. turbo car. Its going to be loud to some extent. I have not been pulled over because of how loud my car is. If you are speeding then you are speeding and consider yourself lucky if they let you off the hook with a loud exhaust violation.

You just got the car turbo'd. ENJOY all the money you spent its actually a lot of fun lol

wow did no of you read all of what I wrote?

I'm saying if the cop is 1/4mile down the road from the point that you let off the car, cop doesn't see you at all, but hears the noise. Then you roll by him driving normal speeds but he sees the gauges, ect. Like I said I know I'm being over paranoid here, but being parnoid over the years has aloud me to drive extremly high speeds and avoid a lot of tickets.

I think cars are usually quieter turbo'd vs. naturally aspirated... There is a nice turbine in between the exhaust ports and the actual exhaust.

Blow Off Valves are louder, IMO, than the external wastegates. At least it seemed that way from the drivers seat.

i rock a stock exhaust and have an open dump. its loud, but not that loud. My advice to you would be to have someone drive your car and see if you think its too loud. A stock s2k at WOT is loud, no matter what. I've gotten stares when i was completely stock. i recently had a friend drive my car, while i was driving behind him. He wen't WOT and i could definitely hear it, but it wasn't any louder than a normal car WOT.

a wastegate dumps exhaust 'pre' turbo, and he has a mugen exhaust, which is super quiet.
