S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Any old SC owners regret going turbo ?

The popular SC kits for the s2k don't make torque. Centrifugal SC's are peaky by design which are great for large displacement motors (as they already have gobs of low end torque) but not so much for small displacement motors. The two advantages a centrifugal SC have are instant response and low heat.

I think the problem with most turbo cars is that everyone gets greedy and ups the boost, and things break. No surprise. If you want to compare your run of the mill SC setup to a turbo setup, a comparable turbo setup would be a greddy kit. The greddy kits seem to be very reliable and people have no problem eclipsing 300whp with a very nice powerband. On top of that, a lot of turbo kits aren't very "complete" which leaves a lot up to the person installing things to "fix" these problems.

100% correct.. Ive been looking at twin turbo kits for v8 cars & most of the nice ones come with very good heat shielding, which adds to the price but adds reliability .
I dont recall any S2k kits coming with more than a turbo blanket.

After being an owner of a compech kit with 330 hp and a vortech kit with 435 hp I do not regret switching to turbo. Only thing I might miss is the sc sound at idle but oh well.

If you're looking for straight line or something to brag about, then turbo for sure. For the track/twisties fun, then SC.

I was supercharged, now turbo. What a difference, IMO turbo FTW hands down.

My car now would have murdered my car when it was s/c.

Each to there own though. Do whatever you feel is better for you I guess.

I thought I made the right choice going supercharged. I was WRONG.

Can't comment on the switch, but knowing what I do now, I would have held out for a turbo kit. But I still really do enjoy the on/off predictability of the throttle on my supercharged S. But also high horsepower is really only useable at a dragstrip, anything over 500 on the street you aren't going to really be able to put down and use it.

i like turbos because they won't have as loud of an exhaust note, unless you're in boost and dumping to atmosphere. driven a few sc s2k's and they were good too. two different power bands
