Just wondering if anybody out there has had any luck changing a clutch without removing and reinstalling the vortech SC

I changed my clutch without removing my Comptech. Not sure about the differences. I only dropped the front of the engine about an inch. I dropped it 3 inches at the back.

XViper told me It is possibly if your mechanic has the proper extensions to his rachet. Rather than lowering the whole engine cradle, you only lower the front as much as possible and the rear all the way. This tilts the engine/tranny down to the back so you can get at the top couple of tranny bolts. I don't believe there is a link. It has only been talked about. The "How To's" only show the complete cradle lowering.

I just did mine with the comptech SC and it was not possible to do without taking the blower off. I would have crushed the oil return line on the front cross bar.....

i was worried that putting my clutch in would take a while b/c of hearing about taking the vortech off and then dropping the trans. when me and my bro put my clutch in we didn't even touch my vortech. just dropped the engine a little and the tranny slid out. it took 2 people under the lift but we got it done in half the time we thought it was going to take.

good luck
