Default Any way to protect front mount from rocks?

To those that have front mounts, how bad do they get beaten on by rocks and things on the road and on long trips. What do people do if anything to protect their front mounts from getting pelted by rocks without decreasing air flow? I guess you could put some sore of mesh in there, but that usually looks pretty ugly and I wonder what that does to the air flow properties.

Get some screen material and make a screen in the opening of the front bumper. It will help prevent dents in the fins as well as keep bugs out of it.

It has to have a way of being away from the surface of the front mount for it to be effective against dents though.

if u feel like cutting out the plastic in your bumper, ive used one of these on previous turbo setups on other cars...definitely helps protection against rocks...a little pricey, you could always go to lowes home improvement and find something similar for a 1/4 of the price but u have to custom make it vs these things coming to fit your car

edit: i actually think you can install these with the plastic in the way on your current bumper...if i remember correctly they use mounting points on the oem plastic...i didnt bother reading through this install

Yes you can leave your oem plastic grill alone. I have an all black grill and it loos great. definetly worth the money imo.
