Default Anybody here have a Hard Dog Roll cage and Racing seat with Harness?

So the "grown up" in me is starting to come out a little, I am planning on taking the car to the track this summer and though I am not quick enough to be required to have a cage, I am thinking if a crash at 40mph can kill someone, 100+ mph is instant bad news. Anyway on pump I trapped 127mph first time out, on race gas I would imagine I would prob trap 130, so either way, kind of scary. I was looking into a Hard Dog roll cage with Sparco Seat and 4 point harness, anybody else have this , how is it etc................

PS Expecting my first baby in June and the wife is less than thrilled when I mention I want to drag race

I have a Hard dog roll bar and racing seat. Most of the hard dog stuff will require you to lose all of the interior plastic behind the seats. If you u decide on race seat and harnesses, a four point is considered a no-no. Read thru the FAQ's in the racing forum and there is a lot of info on seats and harnesses.

I would use a 5 point, 4 point would allow me to slide underneath I believe. I don't care about the plastic stuff behind the seats, safety first

If your building a track car, noisy fuel pumps are not an issue. You can cut the plastic, but by the time you get bar and harnesses and racing seats, you won't want to try and make any of the plastic fit. Its just in the way.

With a open downpipe, the noise from the fuel pumps will not be an issue lol.

I have a Hard Dog roll bar, Sparco Evo seat and 6 pt harnesses. Plastic still there, just trimmed. I also wear a HANS on track.

CKIT -Which hard dog set up do you have?

please post pics. I would love to see the set up. Im in the process of getting a HD set up but i have yet to see one where the harness is at the correct height and the interior was still maintained.
